My professional career spans several decades in Kansas, Montana, Missouri, and Arizona courtrooms as a public defender or judge, so my novels are strongly influenced by the gritty dramas, comedies, and tragedies of real life.
With compelling, page-turning plots, my novels engage both adolescent and adult readers. Each story is rooted in timeless virtues such as duty, fidelity, bravery, honesty, and trust. My G-rated texts offer wholesome narratives suitable for all ages.

After the Civil War, a Confederate enlisted medical orderly seeks to find the woman inside the locket given to him by a dying Union Officer. Johnny Maple's arrival in Douglas County, Kansas starts ignominiously when he's throw out of a saloon.
Apparently, no one appreciates a Rebel soldier even though the Civil War ended. Undaunted, he tries to help two orphaned children and retrieve the lovely daughter of the town's lawyer. How will he ever find her? Divine Providence.
